The push towards reducing casualties was
right on target, yesterday |
Labour brace themselves as
the death toll on British forces personnel rapidly approaches 100.
The MoD, in association with Blair and his Cabinet are beavering away to
prepare statements for when the event occurs. The first draft was
rejected as the margins did not contain sufficient prompts, like: |
speak slow and low
"it's no ones fault"
be sincere but don't over egg it (again)
"it's no ones fault"
"regret loss of life"
"it's no ones fault"
"unavoidable casualties"
"it's no ones fault"
"deepest sympathy"
"it's no ones fault"The Yanks have no such
problems, they went for the big score-line as quick as possible so as to
get all the finger pointing and recriminations out of the way early on.
George Dub'ya and his crew are sitting pretty and can go on to rack up
numbers approaching 'Nam. A White House spokesperson said the true
number of dead/dying/injured is unknown mainly because:
- we ain't asked for them
- we spread the injured soldiers around hospitals in several
countries
- we never use the words 'dead', 'death', 'wounded', 'hurt',
'casualty' or 'body bag'
